Hobby Lobby's FlyCamOne Makes Airborne Video Capture Easy!
The FlyCamOne from Hobby Lobby brings an easy solution to capturing airborne video with a system designed for RC pilots. Small and light, it can be used on just about any model, from park flyers on up to giant scale.
The first Windows Media Video program (linked below) was captured while flying the Hobby Lobby Wingo USA with its floats from the pond at the NEAT Fair 2007. Two cameras were mounted near the wing tips, with one facing forward and one aft. They were not level to the horizon, but this could be easily accomplished with small foam or balsa standoff wedges. The second video was also captured with two cameras, mounted this time on the Daddy-O 525, a larger electric sport flyer, taking a quick spin at a local sports field.
