Master Airscrew released New Series of Factory Pre-Balanced Propellers

Tired of spending time & efforts to balance your brand new props? Not anymore.

R. Cordova, CA (June 1, 2016) – Master Airscrew (MAS) revamps its R/C aircraft propellers lineup, which now includes Factory (Pre-) Balanced Propellers for model aircraft with exceptionally tight blade weight tolerances – 0.01g (0.00035oz) or better. Having more than 30 years of experience with model propellers, the California based producer is now ready to make the tedious step of balancing new propellers – redundant.

Another focus of the new type of propellers is safety – unbalanced propellers, apart from being noisy, causing bearings wear and jeopardizing flight performance, pose a major safety risk to operators and spectators. The balancing step, required for regular props, is often overlooked because it requires experience and time.

Established in 1978, Master Airscrew is one of the first businesses ever to manufacture propellers for model/hobby aircrafts. Since joining the UVIONIX Group (www.uvionix.com) in 2015, the company has undertaken a major investment program replacing most of its production equipment with brand new state-of-the-art machinery and introducing advanced technologies for virtually every aspect of the design and manufacturing processes.

How are those tolerances possible? – A combination of technology, precision and advanced equipment. Starting with the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) optimized propeller design analysis, through the injection mold tooling production with a precision of 2 microns (0.00008”) and finally having the propellers molded with a fully automatic, central-gateless injection molding process and constant monitoring of pressure, flow velocity, temperature and timing. Handling operations are performed by a 6-axis robot automation treating your new prop as a work of art.

Master Airscrew Factory Balanced Propellers can be recognized by the red sticker and are already available for purchase in certain designs and sizes. More sizes will be regularly added.
