Icare DFS Kranich 1/5 Scale Sailplane (3.6m)

This kit is a faithful, 1/5 scale reproduction of the original DFS Kranich, the first mass produced glider designed in Germany in the mid 1930’s. With a 3.6m wingspan, this model serves as a nice entry into aerotowing. The model comes with a molded fiberglass fuselage andthe wings are built up and covered with a tissue type covering material reproducing the cloth and dope covering from the original aircraft. Paint schemes available include the standard German finish or a blue Finnish scheme.
