ASSEMBLY
Included in the box is the complete airframe, 150 mAh 3.7 volt Li-poly battery, handy Li-poly battery charger that is powered by the included 4ea AA batteries, and two decal sets. The injection molded foam airframes that come pre-painted and 100% ready to go with radio, motor, and receiver factory installed. The Corsair like all the other planes in Parkzone line are remarkably scale. Great scale details including a 3-bladed prop, foam spinner, molded panel lines, clear canopy and tri-color trim. Other neat features include a removable landing gear for realism of flight and a steer-able tail wheel. The box does a remarkable job acting as a carry case for the F4U and even has a handle.
The radio system consists of a Spektrum AR6400 2.4 DSM2 6 channel receiver. This receiver is more like a mother board because it also houses the motor speed control and two linier actuator servos for elevator and rudder and inputs for four additional servos. Each aileron gets its own linear actuator servo. The 150 mAh 3.7 volt Li-poly battery fits in a little channel and is secured with Velcro. The battery can be shifted forward and aft slightly for CG purposes. My Spektrum2.4 compatible JR 12X radio bound directly to the AR6400 DSM2 receiver following the bind process. A quick check for correct control directions, advance the throttle to hear the purr of the 8.5mm Coreless Brushed motor and the F4U Corsair was ready for its leap of faith.
